Q. Is the Haworth Inn & Conference Center open to the public?

A. Yes. While the Haworth Inn is owned by Hope College, it is for use by the public and is conveniently located between the picturesque campus and downtown Holland.

Q. If the Haworth Inn is owned by Hope College, are the rooms like dorm rooms?
A. Not at all. In fact, the Haworth Inn & Conference Center has a 3-Diamond rating from AAA, the highest rating possible for a property without an in-house restaurant, 24-hour room service, and concierge.

Q. Do you have any adjoining rooms or suites?
A. We do not have any suites, nor do we have adjoining rooms. However, ours is a small property, and, if available, we will be happy to assign rooms next to each other or across from each other.

Q. Do you have a pool?
A. No, we do not have a pool in the Haworth Center. However, all of our guests are welcome to use the Hope College Dow Physical Education Center, which has an Olympic-sized lap pool, high-dive, weight-training rooms, Nautilus weight equipment, running track and gym. In addition, upon request our guests are also given free passes to the Holland Aquatic Center, which houses an Olympic size pool as well as a fabulous childrens area (we recommend this for our guests with children).

Q. Why dont you have an in-house restaurant?
A. The Haworth Inn does not have an in-house restaurant because we are across the street from Hollands historic downtown, with more than 100 shops, including many restaurants, ranging from relaxed bar and grille restaurants, to Italian, to upscale European fare. All of these restaurants are within walking distance, and downtown Holland has a heated street and sidewalk system, which makes walking in winter as safe, and pleasant, as possible.

Q. But what about conferences, banquets, meetings and wedding receptions? Do we have to bring our own food in?
A. No. The Haworth Inn & Conference Center has an award-winning catering department headed by our Certified Executive Chef and Catering Manager, who between them have nearly 40 years of experience. Our menus are available here, on the web page, or our Certified Executive Chef would be happy to customize a menu to anyones taste.

Q. What is the maximum number of people your facility can accommodate?
A. 350 persons Banquet Style and 400 persons Theatre Style in our 5,500 square foot Ballroom. Our hotel can sleep up to 172. Click here to view different conference room layouts, such as Banquet and Theatre Style.

Q. Can I bring my own food into the Haworth Center?
A. At the Haworth Inn & Conference Center we do all of our in-house catering for all events held here.

Q. Do you serve Alcohol?
A. The Haworth Inn & Conference Center, being owned by Hope College, is located on Hopes campus, which is an alcohol-free campus. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere on campus, and is not served at events at the Haworth Inn. There are several nice restaurants, bars, and two breweries nearby, and most are on 8th street, within walking distance.

Q. Is parking available?
A. Yes there is. While there are a limited number of spaces directly in front of the hotel, there are plenty more surrounding it. Click here to view our parking map.
